OUR STORY:

For over 20 years, the Rotary Futures College Resource Center has provided FREE post-secondary planning services to the students of Venice High School as well as students of all ages in Sarasota County. As a non-profit organization, we depend on donations and fundraising to support our program.

Proceeds from the event provides 70% of our annual budget and allow our staff to support students in pursuing their educational dreams by providing assistance with college applications, financial aid, scholarships and much more. Our mission to help students and families navigate the complicated post-secondary world is unchanged and needed now more than ever. We are committed to keeping all of our services completely FREE OF CHARGE and need help to do that.

They have generously committed to help us reach our fundraising goals by Sponsoring our Dueling Pianos! They understand that support for students and their families is vitally important and want to help us continue to provide that support into the future.

Senior Awards night was very successful…127 students invited and on stage, and the administration narrated the program. They loved being part of it this year!

Total Athletic Scholarships                  $3,404,245.00

Total Institutional Scholarships          $7,111,144.00

Bright Futures adds another almost 2 million dollars, bringing us up to 13.6 million dollars in earned scholarships for the Class of 2022!

This data breaks down as follows:
- 25 Athletic Scholarships
- 9 accepted (of 43 offered) Scholarships to private institutions in the state of Florida
- 30 accepted (of 63 offered) Scholarships to the public institutions in the state of Florida
- 23 accepted (of 72 offered) Scholarships to out of state schools
- 256 Scholarships awarded from local organizations
- 28 Scholarships from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County
- 9 Scholarships from the Educational Foundation of Sarasota County
- 64 Scholarships from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation
- 6 Scholarships from the Selby Foundation
- 10 National scholarship recipients(including 1 Questbridge Match Scholar to Princeton University)
- 16 Scholarships from groups within the state of Florida
